INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE :

  • On 21st  September 'International Day of Peace' is Observed Every year.
  •  In 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution 36/37, this day was passed as International Day of Peace. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to " Commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and people's."

SPECIAL NOTE FOR ASPIRANTS :

  • 2021 Global Peace Day theme – "Recovering Better for an equitable and sustainable world".
  •  The 9th edition of the Geneva Peace Talks will be held on Tuesday (21 September,2021).
  •  It will be live streamed from the Palau's does Nations in Geneva.
  •  This event is organized under the United Nations, official theme of 2021.
  •  The United Nations International Day of Peace recognizes the efforts of those people who have worked hard to end the conflicts and promote peace.
  •  The theme of International Day of Peace :
          2021 – " Shaping Peace Together".
          2019 – " Climate Action for Peace".
