Niti Aayog going to develop National Gender Index:

As per the recent Annual Report 2021-22 of NITI Aayog, this public policy think tank body, is currently in the process to develop a National Gender Index. 

The main aim of this National Gender Index is to estimate the progress and determine the prevailing gaps in gender equality through a detailed data-driven study. Once fully formulated the Gender Index can be used to make informed policy decisions. It will also contain State/Ut wise data on defined gender metrics for healthy competition between states/UT.

NITI Aayog also developed State Energy and Climate Index that will point states based on their efforts on adopting efficient renewable climate-friendly Energy.
