Every year on the 1st of March Zero Discrimination Day is observed across the globe. The aim of the day is to ensure the right to equality, inclusion and protection of all people without any discrimination or prejudice in their law and policies to live a full life with dignity regardless of any barriers. Zero Discrimination Day is celebrated to inform people about their rights and to ensure that every society works together to promote inclusion, compassion, peace and, above all, a movement for change, Ultimately ending all forms of discrimination. UNAIDS(United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS) is the body that organises the day.

The Theme of Zero Discrimination Day 2022 is 'Remove laws that harm, create laws that empower'.
