Vineet Joshi appointed as the Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE):
Vineet Joshi, a senior bureaucrat has been named as the new head of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). His predecessor Manoj Ahuja has been assigned as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
Mr Joshi, a IAS officer of Manipur Cadre from 1992 batch, is an Additional Secretary of Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. Besides that he is also Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA). It's going to be the second term of Joshi as CBSE chairman after 2010.

Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) is a national level board of Education under Ministry of Education. Established in 1929 with an aim to providing quality education. Presently more than 26000+ schools are affiliated to CBSE. CBSE schools follow NCERT Syllabus.
