The biggest Wrestling Academy of India will be built by Indian Railway:
The Ministry of Railways recently approved to set up of a world-class wrestling academy in Indian Railways headquarter at Kishanganj, Delhi. When completed the academy will be the biggest wrestling academy in India, equipped with advanced training facilities to promote and nurture wrestlers in the country. The estimated cost of the project will be around Rs 30.76 crores.
As per the ministry, the Indian Railway has played a significant role in promoting wrestling in the country and most of the successful wrestlers in India are from Indian Railways. Indian railway provides jobs to promising sportspersons through a specific talent search programme and provides them with class-of-art infrastructure. The academy will offer the best sports facilities to sportspersons, and provide an opportunity for many budding wrestlers to become champions in the coming time.
