 Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi:

Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 92nd birth anniversary of the Late Pandit Jasraj. Prime Minister Modi pointed out that the world is entitled to benefit from the music of India in the same way as Yoga. Modi mentioned that the Indian Govt. will do every bit to spread the Indian culture throughout the world.

Veteran Vocalist Pandit Jasraj belongs to the Mewati Gharana of Indian Hindustani Classical Music. Pandit Jasraj is known for his experiment with Khayals and Haveli Sangeet. Pandit Jasraj breathed his last in 2020, the end of 75 year-long music career. Throughout his career, he spread Indian music all around the globe and was one of the key people for the height Indian classical music reached today. His legacy is now kept alive by his two children Durga Jasraj and Pandit Shaarang Dev.

Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation:

Founded by Durga Jasraj and Pandit Shaarang Dev. The main objective of the foundation is to protect, develop, preserve and promote the National Heritage, Art & Culture of India.
