MH-60R Multi-Role Helicopters from the USA to arrive in India by July this year:
As per defence officials, the first batch of MH-60R Multi-Role Helicopters will arrive in India by July this year. These MH-60R Multi-Role Helicopters will be used by the Indian Navy. These helicopters will replace already decommissioned Sea King 42/42A helicopters. India penned a deal worth $ 2.2 billion to purchase MH-60R helicopters, during the visit of then USA President Donald Trump’s to India in 2020 with a full delivery period by 2025.
MH-60R Multi-Role Helicopters Details:
They are famously called MH-60R SEAHAWK Helicopters, often regarded as the world’s most advanced maritime helicopters. Developed by Lockheed Martin, an American Defence Manufacturer. Mainly prepared for U.S Navy Roadmap to 2040+, now in service for several countries like Royal Australian Navy, Royal Danish Navy, and Royal Saudi Naval Forces. These helicopters are mainly operated from aircraft and crucial ships for anti-submarine warfare as well as direct combat.
