'Meri Policy Mere Hath', a Door-step campaign under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana:

This year is marking seventh year of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) implementation, and to mark this the government of India has announced 'Meri Policy Mere Hath' a new doorstep crop insurance distribution policy.

This door-step movement has been launched to assure that all farmers across the country are well informed about land records, policies, and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana claim and grievance redressal process.

About Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana: 

Launched in 2016 by PM Modi to ensure affordable insurance service for farmers for their agri yields. It was formulated to safeguard farmers against any yield loss due to crop damage or loss from natural disasters. A farmer can report about any yield loss within 72 hours either through the Crop Insurance App, the nearest agriculture officer or the CSC(Common Services Centers) Centres and after verification claim benefits sent automatically into eligible farmers’ bank accounts.
