Israel Becomes the first country to allow Unmanned aerial vehicles in the Civilian Airspace:
Israel,a country in the Middle east Asia, becomes the first country in the world to allow drone flight in the civilian airspace. The certification of the allocation was issued to the Hermes Starliner unmanned system by the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel. The Hermes Starliner unmanned system was manufactured and developed by Israeli defence electronics company, Elbit Systems.
This Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) will be used for agriculture Work, public welfare, Environment Survey, economic activity and against crime.
These UAVs can easily be used by terrorists to target a location besides that it can also violate privacy of Individuals, so for all these reasons International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) under it's International aviation regulations prohibit uncertified aircraft from flying in civilian airspace.
The Hermes Starliner Unmanned System with it's wingspan of 17 metres and weighs 1.6 ton, can fly for up to one and a half day with an additional carryload of 450 kg of electro-optical, thermal, radar and other payloads.
