Ibrahim Sutar, Kannada Kabir passes away:
Ibrahim Sutar has passed away following a cardiac arrest. He was an Indian social worker and poet was known for folk music in the state of Karnataka. Throughout his life and work, he spread the message of Hindu–Muslim communal unity. For all his works he is fondly referred to as the Kabir of Kannada or Kannada Kabir. He was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award in 2018 for arts and music.
He was known to have been well-read in both the Bhagavad Gita and the Quran. During his rally, he was used to presenting his message in question-answer format.
