Eastern Bridge-VI Air Exercise between Indian Air Force and Royal Air Force of Oman:
Eastern Bridge-VI Air, a bilateral air exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Royal Air Force of Oman starts from February 21 to 25, 2022 in Air Force Station Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This year's exercise is the sixth edition of the exercise.
Oman is India's one of the most reliable defence partners in the Gulf region. Oman provides operating support to the Indian Navy in the Arabian Sea by providing access to the Duqm port which strengthened India's position in the Gulf and the surrounding region against China's growing presence in the region.
Aim of Eastern Bridge-VI
Eastern Bridge-VI will ensure the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and increase interoperability between the two Air Forces. Collaboration between IAF and RAFO in this exercise will facilitate proficient interaction, exchange of experiences and enhancement of operating knowledge, and strengthening of bilateral relations between these two participating countries. Senior dignitaries from both sides will visit Air Force Station Jodhpur during this exercise.
