Dabur India Ltd. earned the tag of the first Indian Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Company to become plastic waste neutral. The company achieved the tag by collecting, processing and recycling about 27,000 metric tonnes of post-consumer plastic waste during the Financial Year 2021-2022. With this Dabur has suppressed its plastic packaging usage during production with recycling. It is important to note that under Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rule Dabur India has committed itself to Plastic Waste Management from 2017-2018.

Dabur has also revealed the beginning of a new ‘Save the Environment’ campaign in the state of Himachal Pradesh to raise residents and social awareness on the management of home plastic waste. In addition that Dabur is also working with school students as part of this commitment, familiarising them with various forms of waste and the advantages of sorting them at the source. They have been assisting government schools by providing waste bins, sanitary facilities, and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials.
