Chess Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa beat World No 1 Magnus Carlsen, becomes the youngest to do so:
India’s young Chess Grandmaster, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa has defeated the current world's number one chess player, Magnus Carlsen in Airthings Masters, an online rapid chess tournament.
The 16-year-old Praggnanandhaa created history in the eighth round of the Airthings Masters, in 39 moves. One more interesting fact is Praggnanandhaa is also only the third Indian grandmaster to win against Magnus Carlsen other than Viswanathan Anand and Pentala Harikrishna.
Magnus Carlsen:
31-year-old Carlsen was born in Norway. In 2010 he becomes the No 1, the youngest player to claim the NO 1 rank in FIDE world rankings. From 1st July 2011 to date, He is the no 1 rank.
