World Economic Forum in Davos, Pm Modi call for Investment in New India:
Prime Minister Modi addressed the World Economic Forum's Davos Dialogue on January 17,2022. Mr Modi expressed his confidence that in the coming years, India will emerge as the hub of fulfilment for the new world order. He also pointed out some recent achievements that India achieved and the things that India can offer.
The important takeaway from the PM address:
- Mr Modi said India is moving forward with great strength and vigour. He also pointed out how India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence and about the administration of 160 crore vaccine doses in the country.
- He said, in this time of the pandemic, India followed the vision of One Earth, One Health. Saving crores of lives by giving essential medicines, vaccines to many countries.
- He pointed out that today India has the world's largest, safe and successful digital payments platform.
- Mr Modi said, India was once known for license raj and today, it is encouraging ease of doing business and reducing government involvement in businesses. Basically, he pointed out about the emerging start-up ecosystem that India able to achieve
- He emphasized that India is committed to becoming the world’s reliable partner in global supply chains and how he thinks this is the best time to invest in India.
- He calls the world to move away from the 'Take-Make-Use-Dispose' economy to a 'Take-Make-Use-Recycle' economy in order to achieve a more climate sustainable world. Mission LIFE [Lifestyle for Enviroment] must become a global mass movement to counter climate change.
