VIKRAM DEV DUTT HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN AND MANAGING DIRECTOR OF AIR INDIA :

      Vikram Dev Dutt was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Air India. The news was announced in an official statement issued by Air India on Friday, January 21.

      According to the statement, Vikram Dev Dutt, a 1993-batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, took over the charge from Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation. Bansal had been leading Air India for so long. He was appointed the post of Air India and pay of Additional Secretary. Prior to that, he served as Principal Secretary of the Department of Services in March 2021. The statement further said that he had earlier been appointed as Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Delhi in June 2020.
