UP GOVT. HAS DECLARED FOUR VILLAGES AS REVENUE VILLAGES :
The Uttar Pradesh government has declared four villages near the Nepal border as revenue villages. The decision has been taken before the announcement of the general elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Bahraich District Magistrate Dinesh Chandra Singh said this in a statement.
A revenue village means a small administrative area with defined boundaries. Not necessarily, a revenue village means a village, but a revenue village can have many villages and a village administrative officer is the chief officer of a revenue village. After the declaration of revenue village, the people of these villages will get the benefit of all government projects from now on.
The four villages declared as revenue villages are Bhavanipur, Tedhia, Dhakia and Bicchia and are located in Mihinpurwa tehsil of the district. These four villages are Vantangiya villages and have about 225 families with more than 1500 members. The Vantangiya community is made up of people from Myanmar who were brought in to plant trees during colonial rule.
