PUSHP KUMAR JOSHI TO BE CHAIRMAN AND MANAGING DIRECTOR OF HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED :
Pushp Kumar Joshi has been selected by government headhunter PESB as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). The headhunter said in a notice that Joshi was selected after interviewing 10 PESB candidates on January 24. Joshi is currently the Human Resources Director of HPCL.
The headhunter said, "PESB recommended the following name for the post of Chairman and Managing Director, HPCL: Pushp Kumar Joshi". Joshi, 58, has been on the board of HPCL, the country's third-largest oil refining and energy marketing company, for almost a decade now. It is heard that the recommendation will now go to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister. The ACC will then decide on his selection after receiving reports from anti-corruption bodies such as the CVC and the CBI. Joshi will replace Mukesh Kumar Surana as he is due to retire on April 30, 2022. Joshi had twice before been dropped from being the head of HPCL. Nishi Vasudeva was first selected by PESB in August 2013 and again Surana was selected in October 2015.
