 National Voters Day celebrated across the Nation on 25th January:

India celebrates its National Voters Day every year on 25th January. Starting in 2011, the 
Election Commission of India celebrated its 12th National Voters Day this year.

This year National Voters Day is organized on the theme “Making our Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative”, which envisages focusing on the Election Commission of India's commitment to promoting active participation of voters(75% turnout goal) and to make the voting process hassle-free and a smooth experience for all categories of voters.

Why India Celebrate Voters Day?
In a democratic country voting is the most powerful tool. So to respect that and to encourage more voters to take part in the political process India celebrate National Voter's Day. Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread cognition among voters and to facilitate informed participation in the electoral process.

Why 25th January is celebrated as National Voters Day?
January 25th is being so celebrated as the Election Commission of India was set up on January 25, 1950, a day before the country became a Republic with the Constitution coming into force from January 26, 1950.
