Karnataka earns the tag of India’s first state to launch the AVGC Center of Excellence:

Govt. of Karnataka set up the AVGC Centre of Excellence (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka with this it's become the nations first state to have an AVGC Center of Excellence. Meanwhile, it is also Asia's largest AVGC centre. AVGC COE is a high technology digital media hub that will facilitate digital entertainment media.

Moreover, the AVGC COE got a finishing school that will offer unique courses based on emerging technology such as virtual reality, photogrammetry, digital compression,  real-time virtual production, gamification of education, and other emerging technologies.

It is funded by the Department of Electronics Information Technology Biotechnology and Science & Technology under Innovate Karnataka initiative.
