INFINITY BRIDGE WAS OPENED IN DUBAI ON 16TH JANUARY :

For the first time, the iconic "Infinity Bridge" in Dubai was officially opened for the public. The bridge, which was inaugurated on January 16, 2022, is called the Infinity Bridge because its design resembles the mathematical sign for the Infinite (∞).

The first announcement of Infinity Bridge was made in 2018. The bridge was built as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Project. The 300 meters long and 22 meters wide bridge has 6 lanes on each side and consists of a combined 3 m track for pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge is expected to make the connection between Deira and Bur Dubai more accessible to the general public. In addition, the bridge has the capacity to handle 24,000 vehicles per hour from both sides. The bridge has an infinite symbolic arch-shape that represents the infinite goals of Dubai, towards the future. The bridge is acclaimed as a new world-class architectural masterpiece, artistic and engineering marvel. By 2030, after opening, the bridge will reduce travel time from 104 to 16 minutes.
