DRDO HAS CELEBRATED ITS 64TH FOUNDATION DAY :

      DRDO has celebrated its 64th founding day on January 1, 2022. DRDO was established on January 1, 1958 and its full name is Defence Research and Development Organisation.

      The DRDO started its journey in 1958 with only 10 labs, at first it was responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art defense technology for the Indian Armed Forces. So far, however, it has been working on a number of sophisticated military technology areas such as aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics, engineering systems, missiles, materials, naval systems, advanced computing, cyber, life sciences and other technologies for defence. DRDO was established by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production of the Indian Ordnance Factories with the Defence Science Organisation.
