SANJIV MEHTA IS ABOUT TO TAKE CHARGE OF PRESIDENT OF FICCI :

      On 6 December 2021, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) declared the name of its new president. Sanjiv Mehta, the current Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, is going to be the President of FICCI. He will take over the President of FICCI on December 18.

      Sanjiv Mehta is currently the Senior Vice President of FICCI. He will replace Uday Shankar, a veteran in the media industry. According to a statement issued by FICCI, Sanjiv Mehta is the President of Unilever South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal). He is also a member of the Unilever's Global Executive Board "Unilever Leadership Executive". According to FICCI, Mehta has been instrumental in making Hindustan Unilever Limited one of the most valuable companies in the country. HUL's market capitalisation has grown to more than USD 55 billion during his 8 years at the helm. It is also said that Mehta also believes that "doing well" and "doing good" are two sides of the same coin. At the same time, FICCI claims that he promotes the cause of sympathetic capitalism.
