NITI Aayog Has Launched the "E-Sawaari India E-Bus Coalition" || Some Information about the Initiative and Its Objectives || 2021 ||

NITI AAYOG HAS LAUNCHED THE "E-SAWAARI INDIA E-BUS COALITION" :

      The National Institution of Transforming India (NITI) Aayog has recently launched an initiative called "e-Sawaari India e-bus Coalition". NITI Aayog has launched this initiative in joint effort with Convergence Energy Service Ltd (CESL) and World Resources Institute, India (WRI India).

      The initiative called "e-Sawaari India e-bus Coalition" has been launched to share learnings and knowledge on e-bus adoption in India. The purpose behind launching the initiative is to share knowledge among various stakeholders including Central and State Government agencies, transit service providers, original equipment manufactures (OEMs) on how to accelerate the process towards smooth adoption of e-bus services in India. This initiative is supported by the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI). Through the initiative, central, state and city level government agencies, transit service providers, original equipment manufactures (OEMs), financing institutions and ancillary service providers will be able to share their knowledge and education on e-bus adoption in the country. With this, the initiative will meet demand and supply and provide innovative solutions to increase e-bus adaptation in India.
