Who is the current prime minister of Kuwait

SHEIKH SABAH AL-KHALID AL-HAMAD AL-SABAH HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS PRIME MINISTER OF KUWAIT :

      Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has been appointed Prime Minister of Kuwait and has been given the responsibility of the new cabinet. The Kuwait News Agency said in a statement.

      The news of Sheikh Sabah's appointment has come after the Emiri decree issued on Tuesday, 23 November. In early November, the Kuwaiti government submitted its resignation letter to the ruling Emir. It is a move aimed at ending a stalemate with opposition lawmakers over a general amnesty for political dissidents that is hampering financial reform. Sheikh Sabah was born in 1953. He received bachelor's degree in political science from the Kuwait University in 1977 and joined the Foreign Ministry in 1978 as a diplomatic attache. He served in the Department of Arab Affairs from 1978 to 1983 and in the permanent Kuwaiti mission to the United Nations (UN) from 1983 to 1989. He also served as Kuwait's ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 1995 to 1998. He has also held various positions such as Chief of the National Security Bureau in 1998, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor from July 2006 to March 2007, and Minister of Information from May 2008 to January 2009. He was appointed Foreign Minister in 2011 and later Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, in December 2012, he was re-appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. On 19 November 2019, he was appointed the 8th Prime Minister of Kuwait. Incidentally, he spoke in favor of a new Kuwaiti law in May 2021. According to the law, those who support Israel face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of 5,000 Kuwaiti dinars, including on social media.
