KARNATAKA VIKAS GRAMEENA BANK HAS WON ASSOCHAM AWARD :
Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) has been declared as the best regional rural bank (RRB). This award has been given to this bank under the "Regional Rural Banks" category. The award has been given by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in Mumbai in recognition of the bank's initiative in digital financial services.
R. Gurumurthy, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has presented the award to Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank Chairman P. Gopikrishna. He was given this award in Bangalore. Mr. Gurumurthy has congratulated Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank. He has urged the villagers to use digitalized banking products for fast and secure transactions. According to Brij Mohan Sharma, creating a digital environment is a top priority for regional rural banks. Brij Mohan Sharma is the Executive Director of Canara Bank. KVGB Chairman Gopikrishna has made a statement. He said that due to the efforts of the bank, about 40 villages under KVGB have been converted into 100 per cent digital villages, which have full access to internet banking, mobile banking, micro ATM, AEPS (Aadhar Enabled Payment Systems), IMPS and UPI facilities.
