Afghanistan Has Banned The Use of Foreign Currencies || Some Information about This Move || 2021 ||

AFGHANISTAN HAS BANNED THE USE OF FOREIGN CURRENCIES :

Afghanistan has recently announced a ban on the use of foreign currency in the country. The move was taken by the Taliban government because Afghanistan is now a Taliban-ruled country. The move is aimed at weighing in on the economy struggling with the current financial crisis and further isolating the country.

The move came as the Taliban have pushed for the release of billions of dollars in reserves abroad. The United States and its Western allies decided to freeze billions of dollars in reserves when the Taliban invaded Afghanistan in August. The Taliban want the reserve to be released because, in the absence of this reserve, Afghanistan is effectively shut down from the international financial system. The Taliban has ordered all people, including shopkeepers and businessmen, to conduct all trade in Afghan currency. According to them, the move will help to improve Afghanistan's financial system. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahed said legal action would be taken against those who disobeyed the order. However, there is uncertainty as to how the Taliban will implement the move, as Afghanistan's economy has been dependent on the US dollar for more than 20 years.

SPECIAL NOTES FOR ASPIRANTS :

• The head of the Taliban is Haibatullah Akhunzada.

• The current Prime Minister of Afghanistan is Hasan Akhund.

• The capital of Afghanistan is Kabul.

• The currency of Afghanistan is Afghan Afghani.

• The Durand Line divides Pakistan and Afghanistan.
