WORLD TEACHERS' DAY :
World Teachers' Day is celebrated around the world on October 5 every year. This day is celebrated to commemorate the rights and responsibilities of teachers and to focus on the appreciation and improvement of educators around the world. This day was first celebrated in 1994. This day commemorates the adoption of the 1966 ILO / UNESCO recommendation on Teacher Dignity. Over 100 countries participate and each country has their own date like India celebrates Teachers' Day on 5 September every year.
UNESCO and Education International (EI) jointly run a campaign to mark the day every year through which we understand about the important role teachers play in the development of students and society. This campaign is carried out with the help of media partners.

• The theme for 2021 is - "Teachers at the heart of education recovery."
• This day is celebrated by a joint effort of International Labor Organization (ILO), UNICEF and Education International (EI).
• India celebrates Teachers' Day on September 5 every year.
• This day falls between the Australian school holidays, this day is celebrated on the last Friday of October every year in all parts of Australia.
• Australia will be celebrated this day in 29 October, Friday.
