Air Marshal Sandeep Singh HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS VICE CHIEF OF THE INDIAN AIR FORCE :

     Air Marshal Sandeep Singh has been appointed as the Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force. He joined the Indian Air Force in December 1983 as a fighter pilot. He is an experimental test pilot as well as a well qualified flying instructor. He has more than 4,400 hours of experience, flying in operational and pilot tests of various types of fighter planes.

      His service number is 17312. During his nearly 38 years of service at the Indian Air Force, the Air Marshal has given many valuable commands and appointed staff. He has given commands to Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment, frontline air base and an operational fighter squadron. He has been appointed as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Plans), Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ Eastern Air Command and Deputy Chief of the Air Staff at Air Headquarters. He received the Ati Vishisht Seva medal and the Vayu Sena medal.
