Sahdev Yadav Has Been Appointed as President of Indian Weightlifting Federation || Some Information about Indian Weightlifting Federation || 2021 ||

SAHDEV YADAV HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF INDIAN WEIGHTLIFTING FEDERATION :

      Sahdev Yadav has been appointed as President of the Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF). He has been unanimously elected to the post for four years. Ten vice-presidents, four joint secretaries and seven members of the executive committee have also been elected.

      The Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) is a national regulatory body that looks after weightlifting sports in India. The federation is allied with the Indian Olympic Association and the federation is also a member of the Asian Weightlifting Federation and the International Weightlifting Federation. Anand Gowde has been elected as the secretary general of the Federation and Naresh Sharma as the treasurer. They were elected at the Annual General Council Meeting of the electoral congress held at a city hotel. This election was conducted by Returning Officer Narinder Paul Kaushik. He is a retired Judicial Officer of Delhi District Courts. Mirabai Chanu who is a weightlifter, won India's first Olympic medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She have got a silver medal in the 49kg category.
