Martin Scorsese and István Szabò Will Get Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award || Some Information about Recipients and International Film Festival of India || 2021 ||

MARTIN SCORSESE, ISTVÁN SZABÓ WILL GET SATYAJIT RAY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD :

      Martin Scorsese, a veteran Hollywood director and István Szabó, a famous filmmaker will be honored with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021. Union information and broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur made the announcement. The award will be presented at the 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The film festival is going to be held from 20 to 28 November 2021, in Goa.

      Scorsese is the greatest and most influential director in the history of Hollywood cinema. He has made several famous films like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas etc. Szabó, on the other hand, made masterpiece films such as Father in 1966 and Mephisto in 1981. His creation Mephisto received an Academy Award. "The King of All the World" will be IFFI's opening film. The film is directed by Carlos Saura. About 30 titles have been shortlisted for this International Film Festival of India (IFFI) from the International Film Festival, featuring the Festival Kaleidoscope and the World Panorama section. Sean Connery will also be honoured at the festival. He first played the character of the fictional British spy James Bond.
