UMNGOT RIVER CONSIDERED AS CLEANEST RIVER OF INDIA :
Rivers play a very special role in our environment. Rivers can maintain the balance of our environment. Rivers are constantly being polluted due to various activities. However, there is a river in the state of Meghalaya that has got the tag of the cleanest river of India. The name of this river is Umngot river. The water of the Umngot river is so clear that it looks like glass.
A lot of discussions started about this river as tourists shared pictures of this river on their social accounts. The river flows through Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village near the India-Bangladesh border, and flows through the Jaintia and Khasi hills before flowing into Bangladesh. The river is clean as well as shows signature because it is understood that the people here are well educated so they keep the river clean.
