Delhi Government Launched 'Anganwadi on Wheels' Initiative || Some Information about 'Anganwadi on Wheels' Initiative || 2021 ||

DELHI GOVT LAUNCHED 'ANGANWADI ON WHEELS' INITIATIVE :

      Delhi government has launched 'Anganwadi on Wheels' initiative on 11 October, 2021. The main purpose for starting this initiative has to supply nutrition among children and fulfill their health-related needs on day to day life. On the occasion of International Girl Child Day, the initiative has been launched by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. According to him, the government has taken a promise that they would provide better facilities properly to all children and the government is working for the advancement of women and children in the age group of 0 to 6 years who are now receiving Anganwadi ration.

      Many families, have taken Anganwadi rations, have been severely affected by the pandemic-related lockdown. This initiative will provide nutritious food and educational equipment to the children who cannot reach the Anganwadi ration for various reasons. A bus will run under this initiative. Delhi's Women and Child Development Minister Rajendra Pal said the department has evolved an integrated hub model called 'Saheli Samanvay Kendra' to take care and protection of girl child and women. In the first phase 101 centers were built and in the second phase 354 centers were built. The centers have been added 50 creches and day-care services for children under 6 years of age. The department has being provided early child care education to 329 supervisors and 10,245 Anganwadi workers through digital training.
