CHIEF MINISTER OF PUNJAB RECENTLY LAUNCHED 'MERA GHAR MERE NAAM' SCHEME :

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has launched a new scheme for the people of Punjab on October 17, 2021. The scheme has been named as 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam'. The scheme has been mainly designed for the welfare of the people of Punjab living in the red line area. Registration of lal lakir property under this new scheme will now be valid. Lal lakir refers to a piece of land that is used only for non-agricultural purposes.

      On a state level function of Punjab, Chief Minister of Punjab delivered a speech along with Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Revenue Minister Aruna Chaudhary, he said the scheme has been launched for welfare of local people. The state government has said that with help of drones, the survey would be done by digital mapping to the residential property of both urban and rural areas, as a result, a list of necessary people would possible to be made properly. Once the correct list is made, they will be given ownership rights within a certain period of time. As a result of the registration, they will be able to take loan from any bank and sell their property if they want.
