FIH MEN'S HOCKEY JUNIOR WORLD CUP 2021 :

      Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha made the announcement in Bhubaneswar on Thursday that after successfully hosting the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup, Bhubaneswar is going to host the reputable FIH Men's Hockey Junior World Cup 2021.
      The tournament will be run from 24 November 2021 to 5 December 2021 and in this edition it will feature 16 teams from India, Malaysia, Korea, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, USA, Canada, Chile and Argentina.

HISTORY OF THIS EVENT :

• The tournament began in 1979.
• It has been held every four years since 1985.

SPECIAL NOTES FOR ASPIRANTS :

• FIH Men's Hockey Junior World Cup 2021 will be held at Kalinga Stadium in Odisha.

• Earlier, it was held in 2016 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

• The Governor of Odisha is Ganeshi Lal.

• The second biosphere reserve in Odisha will be Mahendragiri.

• The first biosphere reserve is Similipal Biosphere Reserve.
