INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE OZONE LAYER

16th September is the international day for the preservation of the world Ozone layer day. 

General Assembly, in 1994 proclaimed that 16 September is to observe as international day for the

 preservation of the Ozone Layer day Commemorating the data of the signing, in 1987, of the

Montreal protocol on substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

OZONE LAYER CAN BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS:

• Stratospheric Ozone is known as The Good ozone, occurs in high atmosphere naturally. This ozone protects us from UV Rays.

• Ground level ozone, specially known as bad ozone is originated from human activities. This ozone molecules affects humans and environment badly and is the main element in smog.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR ASPIRANTS :

• French physicist Charles Fabry and Henry Buisson discovered the Ozone Layer in 1913.

• Ozone Layer is earth's "SUNSCREEN". Ozone Layer is protecting living things from too much ultra violet radiation from the sun.

• Approximately is 15 to 35 kilometers above of earth Ozone Layer was founded.

• Ozone Layer is found in the Stratosphere (6 to 11 m ).

• Three oxygen molecules are combined to form an ozone molecule.
